What we do
Design build construction is quickly becoming a way for Owners to reduce their budgets and improve project quality. Owle Construction LLC is adapting to this new way of performing projects.
Design/Build construction brings the Designer and Contractor together as a unified team and provides the Owner with one point of contact and centralizes responsibility for the project. The Designer benefits from the Contractor’s expertise in construction techniques which may help resolve design issues and allow for cost savings through value engineering. This project delivery method can reduce project duration by eliminating redesign time and allowing for the early purchase of long lead time items. We will work closely with the Owner, Designer, and Subcontractors to maximize the product goals; while minimizing the impacts and constraints of the project.

Another non-traditional project delivery method, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), has become more common in recent years. Owle Construction, LLC has experience executing work under this project delivery method. IPD is a collaborative project delivery method that brings together the Owner, Designer, and Contractor to optimize project results, increase value to the Owner, reduce waste, and optimize efficiency. Integrated delivery strengthens the project team’s understanding of the Owner’s desired outcomes and improves the design/construction team’s ability to meet project goals including schedule, life cycle costs, quality, and sustainability. IPD also allows Contractors to participate in the design phase of the project where they may anticipate and resolve design related issues, provide strong pre-construction planning, and improve cost control and budget management. The Contractor’s participation in the design process benefits the Designer by allowing more accurate budget estimates to inform design decisions and the pre-construction resolution of design issues resulting in improved project quality and financial performance.

Casino Hotel
Owle Construction, LLC has partnered with Whiting–Turner Contracting Company to provide design/build services for the Harrah’s Cherokee River Valley Casino project in Murphy, North Carolina. Cherokee Hospital
Owle Construction, LLC provided a turn-key concrete installation for the new Cherokee Indian Hospital that included all footings, foundation walls, slabs, and sitework concrete. The 150,000 square foot facility houses numerous programs including in-patient care, integrated care outpatient services, emergency services, eye clinic, dental clinic, lab, pharmacy, complimentary therapies, and physical therapy. The Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) contracting method was used to execute this project. Owle Construction participated in this collaborative approach that included input from tribal elders, artists, students, and tribal members in the design and construction effort in order to reduce waste and optimize efficiency.
